Wadau Hii biashara ni legit au tutalilia kwa shoo?

Kuna huyu Mumama mkikuyu ambaye amekaa Uganda na kulima huko for the last 19 years.

She says that with only ksh 2,500 you can lease one acre of land for a whole year and plant whatever you wish.
Uganda climate and soils are very favourable for farming.

Minimum lease is 10 acres which is 25k.

Naona watu wanamrushia pesa sana mpaka I am becoming tempted hata mimi nilime banae.
But I have this gut feeling that the deal is too good…

Wakenya ni watu bure sana and most of them nikama hutumia matako kufikiria including OP here. The law of supply and demand dictates that if this was a legit deal, hio mama ingekangia hii form for as long as it is humanly possible!

She says it’s vast virgin land and she cannot do the farming alone.
She is ready to buy the produce of maize and Soya…

Learn to follow your intuition. It never lies to you at all.

The farmland is available and farming is fairly lucrative in UG, mainly due to the low cost of inputs. But if you need land for lease, jipeleke mwenyewe and talk to the owner.

Vast virgin land gani? Kama amekua huko 30 years haezi kosa 1M ya kulease atleast 400 acres, which i doubt kunayo in UG

Target market is midro class. Watakua shafted bila lube as always. Lazy people who wants easy money

Wacha uzembe kizee, why not board a bus and go visit her ? Leave Irovi on Thursday and Be back on Sunday.
Why are people sending him money ? Do they want her to farm for them while they are in .ke, them she sends them the profit back ?

Santa klauza wacha nipalilie Tu hapa kwetu kitui coz the logistics za kulima huko Uganda plus Joseph kony anaeza kufungulia boot huko ukiharvest ni risks siwezi afford

Buying/leasing farm in Ssebo land is cheaper. The soils are fertile too, some are virgin especially in nilotic regions( soroti ukielekea kule ndani).

I acquired some land courtesy of my second wife, a beautiful nyabo who comes from Uganda.

Shida ya UG is if u buy land especially mashambani make sure u have somebody monitoring it closely. Jamaa wanaanzanga tu kulima kwa shamba yako and driving them out can be a pain.
