It should come as no surprise that Raila’s followers are more emotionally invested in this election than Uhuru’s.
Kikuyu don’t see any big deal with the presidency having had it for many years and as a result are not very enthusiastic with online polls. On the other hand, Raila’s supporters are out to ‘prove’ that the real scientific polls that have their guy behind are false, and hence come out in large numbers to vote in these online polls, and retweet for their friends (also Raila’s supporters) to come vote.
Then they share in their Whatsapp groups full of friends (who are Raila’s supporters) to celebrate the results and also search for the poll and cast their votes too.
You can also look at Uhuru’s FB page. After ever post, the most liked comment is always a Raila supporter telling him how he will go home. Raila’s supporters have lost so many times they think the presidency is a matter of life and death.
They are out to prove a point, and on social media its the easiest way.
Too bad the real poll on 8/8 will leave them emotionally broken.
To add a bit, I saw another poll with thousands of votes giving Ekuru Aukot 14%. While in reality he will get 0.14%.
Miguna Miguna is also consistently leading in the polls. Don’t want to imagine what his 0.8% will do to his enormous ego.
