That’s the problem with our courts, overextending their mandate. Remember in the supreme Court case challenging Jubilee win, the supreme Court ruled that only the IEBC is empowered to manage any elections in Kenya by the Constitution. The judiciary can only rule against a specific decision they made if it does not conform to the Elections act. Here the court has made a mistake by overextending itself beyond its mandate by managing the elections directly in extending the registration deadline. It has no powers to do that. It could have ruled that IEBC ought to extend it and give time for them to act on that ruling.
