Let me start with a confession: the last time I tuned in to a local radio station was about a year ago. Mostly because local music has turned into garbage. Not to mention the nonsensical “discussions” that are a staple of the morning shows.
So when YouTube kept suggesting I listen to this new jam, I kept ignoring them.

It’s a nice feel good jam, different from most of the other garbage. Catchy too.

It’s only after Octopizzo’s name appeared somewhere that I showed some interest. Yaani this guy had to do a remix with Octopizzo for his song to gain some recognition.

The remix has more views than the original track. So sad. Got me wondering how many other talented Kenyans are struggling to gain recognition. This dude has even made a sleek website to market his brand. Granted, nowadays having a website isn’t such a big deal, but having one is a plus especially for an entertainer.
Let’s try to promote local talent, sio kila saa siasa.
ION, birrionaire @captain obvious has a new catchphrase: PESA OTAS NIGGA!!

Just checked that website and this is one hell of a serious guy. He like 9 songs all in the website, all his videos and everything about him well arranged in the website. Not many Kenyan artists are this serious. Next he should create an app. I really like the website. everything well arranged. wish him all the best.

Great song…the trumpet did it justice. But someone should have told him that “Bangkok to Thailand” = “Nairobi to Kenya”
