Had the same concerns some years back, and noticed I was spending a lot on “affordable” shoes, It’s cheaper in the long run to import, because vendors in the country also have insane markups.
Try UK brands, they’ll really give you value for money, especially if they are on offer.

That’s the good thing with leather.
Try a 3 day journey where you aren’t going to change shoes. Kama ni sneaks, the sweat becomes a menace and stinks em up. Leather with non clothy laces zina-air overnight, unarudi tu fiti.
Safari ata kama ni 1 day sivaangi sneakers incase i delay far from home.

Gikosh mtumba ama Bata…stalls utalimwa ushangae. Kuna fantasy belt nilinunua stalls. I think 3k hapo. Less than a year the leather strap zikatokana kumbe hiyo leather ni fake imeshikanishwa na glue. Ikamaa ni kama niko na mishipi mbili na buckle moja. On the other hand niko na belt nilishika nikiwa high school na hadi wa leo niko nayo…got it in gikomba…zile belt huwa na tushimo all round the belt…
