Veronica has been found

Veronicah Waithira Waigwe , a 19-year-old High School student from Murang’a who went missing a week ago , has reached out to her family and confirmed that she is safe.

She went missing on 8th December 2024 under mysterious circumstances.
She later called her family and informed them that she was safe and happily married.

However , she did not give them her location despite assuring them that she was okay.
It remains unclear whether she plans to return to school to complete her studies or not.

Parents and guardians are urged to prioritise the safety and well-being of their children during the festive season.

They have the duty of shielding children from risky behaviours , negative influences and to monitor their children’s movements , company and activities.

The vulnerability of children during long holidays increases due to increased free time and temptations , hence the need to keep them engaged in constructive activities such as youth programs , family chores , and hobbies.

It is the duty of parents to guide their children wisely and ensure their potential is not ruined by bad decisions or negative peer influence.
Parents should also be aware of relatives who sexually exploit their children as some of them lack morality.

It is crucial to create an environment that nurtures discipline , responsibility, and good moral values, as poor decisions made during early childhood or teenage levels may have long-term consequences that cannot be reversed.

Rexx she is 19, hapo kuna shida kweli akiolewa? Nataka tu majibu elders

Conclusion:
There are 3 possibilities here …

  • She has been trafficked by a Cartel or older person and is being exploited
  • She is escaping a family life of suffering and misery.
  • Both the above.

Vulnerable individuals often jump from a frying pan and into a fire thinking that they have found a safe haven.

I can only wish her a safe , happy and prosperous future.

She is old enough to marry and start a family

Sadly

In legal terms , She is an Adult and can only be assisted if she is being abused or is of unsound mind

Should we now have an intrusive Law that protects individuals from bad life choices …???

I suspect that She will soon regret her life choices

The law is very presumptive. The fact that she eloped means that she’s too young in the mind and inexperienced for marriage, but no one can save her from such a choice.
