Vat 69 or Viceroy

I am a light drinker and I have always taken whiskey. Mzinga ya Jameson hunipeleka 2 weeks ikiwa kwa fridge. I want to try out a cheaper whiskey this weekend. So i wanted your reviews on vat69 or viceroy( i wouldn’t mind a brief shift to brandy)

Vice ni brandy fyi, vat na grants are shitty whiskeys matured in one day. I would rather viceroy.

get Viceroy but beware of fakes

thought jameson was one of the cheap ones

Depends on your definition of cheap. And your category in the birrionaire class

I hear vat69 is a combination of grains and malt hence the reason it has no age statement

lets start with your budget, how much are you looking to spend? then we can advise you on something within your budget range

I don’t take whisky but why do people like this Jameson?

credit social media and their marketing team a few years back it was the drink of choice for most pics uploaded on face book

Myself i like the taste. Plus am confident of its reputable Irish origin . The maturity process is also on point, normally 12 to 18 years

The average price is between 1000 to 1500 in KE shillings depending on where you purchase. That’s exactly my budget

viceroy

a friend of mine calls jameson a starter kit for begginers , no offense to any one. every john doe trying to show their middle class status in bars and shopping malls. then you find them buying some cheap whiskies and mixing with coke to make it bearable

personally am a whisky lover , have mini bars in the house(s). prefer them neat and to me its all about the aroma and explosion of flavor when you sip and swirl it under the tongue.

waiting to hear from all the other whisky lovers in the village why they stick to whisky

hapo iko shida, you will probably get some unaged crap masquerading as whisky, quadruple your budget and try the 18 year old glen and you will never go back to jameson, thank me later

i think it depends on which one you get, there are several blends, main difference being the malt ratio, you could end up getting the blend that has a musky taste, i believe the British version has the most malt ratio, but am not an authority on this.

maybe a villager with more experience on vat69 can give more details
