value addition(next frontier in biz). half baked graduates... cc

our graduates should stop thinking like that sheep a father took to school after selling the cow.
in other words think like employers not employees unless unaajiriwa na KRA ama EACC.
our agri-based economy would appreciate if you would come up with innovative ideas to add value to our produce from waru to cashew nuts.
and dont forget improving all those mediocre services you have exprienced.
our govt the beloved jubilee have allocated a percentage of it tenders to the youth. get there and know how kutender na kuiba(new JAP) slogan works.
and i think by extension the cownties.
every financial year the youth fund takes money back to treasury i bet you are over thate fae thats why you dont qualify?
banks are tripping over themselves trying to loan you loans even with your mearge savings(secured or unsecured rates not withstanding). you can also have a bankable biz plan or proposal. some banks take them.
then there is this thing called biz gaps which need to be bridged. if you look very carefully you might notice them.
i dont if it is just me but i notice biz gaps everywhere…
i hope i provoked atleast one of those retarded graduates being churned out by our substandard universities in their millions

Have you ever tried accessing these funds? Utadhani ni tender ya kurefurbish JKIA una applly. First, you will be tossed from office to office, uambiwe ulete alot of documentation (Biz plans, Birth certificate of your Grandmother etc), then urushwe bank to get clearance and such blabla, then ungoje appreoval. If you are lucky to get that approval, kuna another process ya finally to get the funds. Our mogoka eating graduates dont have that zeal to undergo such trauma!

The process especially in govt related projects is frustrating… Kuna group, they applied for Uwezo wamepewa 1 1/2 years later… Apo ata ile biz idea ulikua nayo some monied fella has already taken the opportunity… Persistence muhimu sana

Someone pointed out “we can’t all be employers/entrepreneurs” and I totally concur.

i also concur with you 101% but what irks me are those graduates who scramble for mjengo with class three dropouts

Hehehe…I tried. On top of all the flip-flopping and getting tossed all over the place, nikaambiwa lazima niwe member wa group. Niliwachia hapo.

I agree with you totally that value addition is the next frontier. Shida ni the skills gap. Almost anyone can plant tomatoes. Very few can make pasta sauce fit for public consumption. First, you need to invest alot in research and development of said goods…

the problem is will kenyans buy your products… mama wa njugu niliona ametegeneza peanut butter lakini hakuna hata moja imeenda
