I have lived in the us, You need to be earning 120k a year now to live a comfortable life. People mostly in the low class go to the army to get the benefits healthcare, insurance, tax credits. In my years ulikua unaenda juu spouse ama mtoi ako na serious health condition.
That being said someone earning 40kshs lives a better life in Kenya than someone earning 40000 dollars a year in the us. utaishi kayole za huko, probably a single room, survive on stamp foods, gari utakua nayo ni ile iko on life support basically poor quality of life.
