If the lady is still conscious, then the trauma is probably not that much. I cannot see the skull X-Ray well enough but the knife probably went through the upper part of the right mandible, below the eye socket, past the facial muscles and is lodged in the nasal cavity or one of the sinuses. Greatest damage would be to the facial nerves. Infection will most probably be a complication. Missed the major blood vessels in the face and is in no way in contact with the brain. She’ll live.

I cannot see the skull X-Ray well enough but the knife probably went through the upper part of the right mandible, below the eye socket, past the facial muscles and is lodged in the nasal cavity or one of the sinuses. Greatest damage would be to the facial nerves. Infection will most probably be a complication. Missed the major blood vessels in the face and is in no way in contact with the brain. She’ll live.

Not good at all. The radiation is too much. CT scans are gold-standard for imaging of the head and neck. But we are a poor country and that was what was available in Wajir.
