Nafurahia sana. 2017 Kuna watu walipiga kura twice just to rub it on other people’s faces. The universe itself had given them a chance to rethink, but sadly, even ktalk was awash with threads of tupige kura mapema tuende birthday ya rais.
The current world price of maize is US$ 303 per metric ton, that is about 35,000 per ton or 35 bob per kg. Since the maize is being imported tax free it should land in mombasa at about 38 bob per kg. If you add local transport and milling it should be 45 bob max. therefore a 2kg packet of maize should cost 90 bob max. So millers wawuache upus that unga can only go down by 2 bob.
Meanwhile a ship carrying cheap maize for 90 bob unga has docked in Lamu port and is offloading.

:D:D So amefanya kazi gani if he can’t enforce the 90 bob?
Hasla should tell his people to release the maize they are hoarding. They should stop blackmailing Kenyans.

Prices increase as farmers hoard 85 percent of maize
Farmers are holding onto 85 percent of the total stock of maize in the country, starving grain millers of supplies.
The supply of maize in the market has been low since the beginning of the year as farmers hoard their crop in anticipation of higher prices.
The food balance sheet report from the Ministry of Agriculture indicates that growers are holding 8.5 million bags of maize stocks out of 10.1 million bags of 90Kgs, which has left millers facing a shortage of grain, subjecting consumers to high prices of flour.
The report indicates that millers and traders are in possession of a paltry 1.5 million bags with the National Cereals and Produce Board (NCPB) holding zero grains. NCPB has been targeting to buy two million bags of maize from farmers.
“Most of the maize and bean stock was with the farmers,” said the report.
Amefanya kaziiiiii
Report ya April when unga was 90bob unaleta nini hapa? Ndio ujue wewe ni akili punguani kweli. We’re in July dear sycophant. No sane farmer with maize in store can refuse to sell at the current market record of all time of 7500/- per 90kg bag. Hata kama ni kulamba rectum do it with some intelligence
This is a joke of century
