Laikipia University has been ordered to pay Sh4.5 million to a lecturer for unfair termination of her contract.
Justice Hellen Wasilwa also directed the university to reinstate Prof Loise Wanjiku Chiuri to her position and pay all her salaries and benefits from December 2020.

Laikipia hulipa…or maybe it depends with department. I taught there in 2020 for 2 semesters and I was paid almost immediately on both occasions. I believe its the only institution with a reasonable VC.
Count yourself very lucky, most lectures that part times their also part times at Egerton and most are living miserable lifestyles knowing kuna a few mirrions somewhere zimekwama. Laikipia and part timing is a no go zone!!!
