Underseat powered subwoofer

Who has installed any of the underseat powered subwoofers in their cars.
How good is the bass?
Which models are you using plus wattage?
How many in the vehicle, is one enough?
How many watts is sufficient for a small car kama an Impreza.
I want decent bass without having to interfere with trunk space. A clean install. That’s why I’m considering this option.

Why not do a custom fiberglass subwoofer that you can choose the driver and an amp of your choice depending on your bass appetite!

You get decent bass from the under seat powered subs, device brand not withstanding. Thing is, the more the bass you need, the more space is demanded from you. Take it and move on. While at it, I’d argument the underseat sub with component speakers all round rather than the usual coaxial stuff sold everywhere.

Thanks for this. I would also accept this as an alternative. It doesn’t compromise space.
Any idea on cost implications for this ?

Asante mkuu.
By component speakers unamaanisha Nini?

Door speakers like the above. They come with their own crossover “amp” for proper bass and mid output. They’re not common, and they’re a bit pricier than the usual coaxial speakers that are more noisy and loud without necessarily giving quality sound.
