I am sure you have gotten this message especially if you are an android user. Droids will by default refuse to take photos with flash when your battery goes below 5%. Solution: Take the photo using your whatsapp or telegram camera. If your battery is below 5% and you take a photo using your whatsapp/telegram camera, the flash will work. Try it.

the only good use of a flash on a mobile phone is as a torch
Sometimes you need to take a photo at night or in a dark room
the problem with that kind of flash is that it is a harsh light…it washes everything in white light. that why people have shiny foreheads and red-eyes when you use it…
It helps but still not a permanent solution. Most of those modes work best in daylight or well lit indoors where the flash would trigger even if its set on auto.
Personally i never use a flash. I hate the results…
Agreed. I only use flash nikiscan docs
Not true, unless you have only experienced very low spect phones
What kind of phone do you use, Sema tu usione haya ata kama ni infinix.
iphone6
Kama simu iko na a good camera na a good rendering engine then no need for flash to take great pics. Just increase screen brightness to full n take the pic itatoka poa kushinda ya flash. Hizo za flash huwa na red eye effect etc… Why do you think HDR hutoa images poa bila kutumia flash?
Buy a cheaper phone.
Soma explanation yangu hapo juu on why si lazima you use flash for great pics
i always suspected @virus was a sociolite.
what is with the photo fetish?
Screen brightness has no effect on camera. Without flash you need to up your ISO sensitivity or simply up exposure compensation and the phone camera will adjust ISO and shutter speed. It’s a pity that most phones have a constant aperture of f/2.2. You also need steady hands for the long exposure time.
HDR takes at least three images, overexposed, correctly exposed and under exposed… and then merges them to get that super range. Si screen brightness.

what phones need is a way to control shutter speed. some apps allow for taking long exposure shorts, but those are only ideal for landscape shots.
Yep. Camera FV-5 Lite claims to do that. I’ve never tried it though.
One of the main use of camera flash during daytime is that the pic is concentrated by the flash angle…yaani huko sides kunageuka black and the pic looks more focused. See pic below

Thats because that is a close up shot of that device. The flash just gives you a shiny head when taking a pic/selfie when holding the camera 2ft away.
Try taking that pic again but hold the fone 2ft away and use the flash. See the difference
