Wanakijiji ulcer inasumbua mtu wangu sana medications amemeza lakini bado kuna issues…who has any insights on the issue
Those things are caused by bacteria. its is not chronic unless you have very high resistance to antibiotics. take the right antibiotics and acid suppressors and make sure you finish them. get checked and rechecked. its a three month course and could be more. Otherwise that constant acidity will eventually develop cancer and you know what next. never abuse antibiotics.
the biggest problem is that the bacteria burrows into the stomach lining and many people are not willing to take enough medicine to kill all of it.
I almost died about 4 years ago from that stuff. Ilikuwa so bad I had to walk in a stooping position. Kept swallowing esomeprazole before meals lakini wapi.
I started using a lot of red peppers kwa food and voila! problem disappeared. Eat lots and lots of peppers. They’re healthy. Drink vodka once in a while too but make sure you don’t slip down the alcoholic rabbithole.
All the best.
shiet why didnt that happen
I was rushed to hospital and put on meds. People actually care about me, @Bingwa Scrotum.

Take anti biotics while consuming a lot of veges( esp raw cabbage or brocolli), whole grains & fruits ( mostly berries).
Avoid carbonated drinks, alcohol, caffeine, processed foods among other things that worsen the situation.

I had a similar problem a few years back. Was put on a doze of “NEXIUM” for 30 days straight - once per day; no alcohols. Never have had the problem again all these years.
how long had the problem lasted you?
close to 3 years
They will be prescribed by a doctor. It’s usually a combination of antibiotics like azithromycin and amoxycillin in a kit branded like “pylotrip” or some other name. The branding keeps changing so only doctors know what antibiotics are on what kits. Acid suppressors like omeprazole, esomeprazole etc. The acid suppressors actually help kill the bacteria by reversing the physical changes triggered by the bacteria to the body. If taken long enough can do the job. Just beware of cheap drugs from India.
I have been taking the meds for a month, after the test but I can see the pains zimeanza tena
Been doing that especially cabbage and I was good for a while but sai tena zimeanza
You have to take antacids long enough for ulcers to heal and for mucus membrane to form. Some times the ulcers are deep septic wounds.
Been on that for a month but naona the pains zimeanza
I see your point but I took what was prescribed and for the duration prescribed sai I have to wait for a while to redo the test ndio I take meds tena
Illness like Ulcers should not be treated by over the counter drugs and referrals by strangers. Take those advises down, then go to your doctor. Your physical conditions, medical tests and medical history will determine your treatment. After full examination and results presented then you can discuss with your doctor about different types of treatments and what you have written down to be discussed. I have seen a relative gone through that whole procedure thanks to excessive drinking that lead to poor diet. His stomach acids did a number to his stomach lining and ulcers soon started. He spent a fortune, a lot of pain, time period and complete change of lifestyle to recover fully. Even now a few glass of wine after a good meal is all he can do. Lastly remember ulcers has different stages. I don’t think treatment for each stage remains the same.
Be keen on your diet by avoiding what triggers it.
