What a shame all the strides taken by Kibaki regarding education is being wasted like this.
School children taken from class to a political rally very shameful.

Waaaah! UOTP.

I thought Matiang’i had given a directive against this?

Education Cabinet Secretary Fred Matiang’i has ordered an immediate end to use of schools going children to entertain guests during various events as well as during the ongoing voter registration exercise.

Dr Matiang’i said schools heads and county directors of education will be held responsible if the practice does not stop.

“Let us allow our children to be in school and learn. We cannot be removing them from school so that that they can come and entertain us. That is very wrong,” said the Cabinet Secretary during the national conference on curriculum reforms on Monday.

He said no child should be used to sensitise Kenyans in the ongoing voter registration campaigns noting that they have no role in the exercise.

“These are children who have no voting cards and we should not waste their valuable time. No one should get out children to stand on the road to sing,” said Dr Matiang’i.

At the same time, Dr Matiang’i said that the curriculum reforms being proposed at the basic education level, will equally lead to similar reforms at the tertiary education level.

“Tertiary level institutions, including universities, colleges and technical education institutions should urgently re-examine their curricula with a view align them with the reforms from the basic education to complete the education cycle in Kenya,” said the CS.

He added that the government is committed in streamlining the education sector in the country noting that the reforms in education are no longer an option but a necessity that must be undertaken.

Shida iko wapi if they are happy and contented with Jubilee? They see the positives unlike you who only see the negative

They wanted to see the man who said notepads and actually delivered them, compared to that Praiminista Bandika who said maxi-pads and then ate the money with his health minister.

Hahahahahaha. Hata watoto wanapewa “jubilee tuko pamoja”!

Amazing that someone in 2017 can still argue like this! I dont understand why we remain primitive. I see Jakuon also dancing on stage, as do many politicians, I think it is utter foolishness. School children have nothing to do with politics and criticizing this stupid behavoiur should have nothing to do with which political side one supports.

A few months back Governor Ranguma printed exam papers that bore his name. We must condem such stupidity no matter which side of politics you support. let us agree to better our lives not support silly behaviour blindly…

It really pains me to see the kind of arguements, personal attacks, lies, false allegations e.t.c that our politicians spew against each other in the rallies. We are true empty debes I tell you!!!

I recall Ruto saying that it is unimaginable to advocate for the youth to be offered manual labour in this era of laptops. Well, this is exactly the labour those thieving NYS chaps were offering. RAO rigs his own party elections but still remains dizzyingly popular amongst his supporters. Why do we allow such mediocrity? We dont question, if you question, you are labelled Jubilee or CORD, Shindwe!!!
