In Ruhinda North County where Thomas Tayebwa was elected unopposed, the NUP candidate Osbert Kato claims that he arrived early for the nominations but the election officials asked him to wait as they verify the NINs(National Identification Numbers) one by one. By the time they finished, it was past deadline time for the nominations so he was locked out.
In Bukedea District where Anita Among was elected unopposed, her opponent NUP’s Asio Florence disappeared a few days to the nomination day. Asio Florence is the daughter of Anita Among. Asio later came out and said she disappeared herself and no one abducted her.
Both Among and Tayebwa are NRM candidates.
