What is going on in the USA is very simple.
- A despotic , vengeful , criminal pedophile whos stay-out-of-jail card is the presidency trying to get maximum benefit of that office.
- A white far right , white christian minority afraid of loosing Power and Privilage - all the while forgetting that they are also immigrants to that land.
The last US civil war merely morphed the dynamics.

Why start wars you can’t win and then spend millions containing problems you just created? And yes, the U.S. Army wins lots of battles and then proceeds to clusterfuck their way with a bunch of suits and old women. That’s why their war crimes lists are so easy to procure and embarass them greatly.. which results in loss of morale, leading to more failed missions and a vicious loop is established. I don’t think this is healthy for a 1.5 million person organization.

And since this army rarely has an exit plan, any operational mistakes can be weaponized to great effect. We saw it in Saigon in 1975, and we saw it in Kabul in 2021, and we’re likely going to see it in the future in Iraq.

They have a well thought out Strategy of wining Hearts and Minds in all their Zones of Occupation.

- unlike the DRC military , their forces are disciplined and held to account for criminal activity.
Trump cannot protect the Kinshasa Regime from their eventual defeat.

You have pretty much described yourself and your partisan assumed conclusions on what the real issues are.
Both Congo Republics were really one nation in spirit until the colonialists ( ..France and Belgium..) murdered Patrice Lumumba , partitioned it , and assumed control and exploitation.
The CIA was also active in the shadows looking for the same things Trump is after today.
Ditto for Rwanda and Burundi.
After Gen. Paul Kagame and the RPF arrived throwing a spanner into the grand scheme , the chicken went home to roost.
Eastern DRC became a dumping ground for criminal militias , opportunists ( ..like the two Kabila’s and Tshisekedi..) and ex-Mobutu hangers-on and local “Oligarchs” ( ..most French and Belgium based..) desperately trying to cling to power and illegally acquired national wealth.
As at 2024 , the DRC has a population of 109.3 million suffering in midst of plenty.
No one is coming to save the People of the DRC from themselves.
Foreign colonial powers , assorted opportunists and Trump just see almost free minerals and natural resources ready for exploitation.
The M23 Movement is not a perfect outfit.
No Liberation Movements ever are.
It has its flaws and is still a "work-in-progress".

- Ho Chi Min and his Communists in Vietnam.

My own quick view and solution..
The conflicts in DR Congo are complex and multi-faceted.
- corrupt , backward , imposed , colonial stooges in Kinshasa capable of selling their own mothers to the highest bidders.
- disparate , desperate Genocide actors who relocated into Eastern DRC after massive defeat and the liberation of Rwanda by RPF
- alleged constant interference by Rwanda , Uganda , Burundi ( ..and even Kenya..) fuelled and motivated by the minerals trade.
- foreign actors , multinationals and mercenaries activities of US , French , Belgian and Chinese interests trying to benefit.
The solution is simple..
- all foreign actors and influences need to go away ( ..or be removed..)
- the corrupt , theiving , murderous regime in Kinshasa needs to be replaced by genuine people’s representatives.
- the sidelined so-called “rebel” movements ( ..freedom fighters are always called rebels or terrorists..) need to be incorporated and part of the overall solution.
All these parties need to sit down together and hammer out a national redemption plan that addresses their concerns.
This formula has worked all over the planet to reduce tensions and initiate peace and progress.
Trump , former Colonialists , the Chinese and assorted exploiters eyeing the mineral and natural wealth of the DRC will NEVER be honest peace brokers and will only add duel to the already got fire.
The other alternative is continuous War , Suffering and destruction of DR Congo until one of the parties dominates the rest.

Yes. Even that won’t work. They hate each other. I am not sure why… sio ile ya competition… ni Kama deep enmity . Lemme give you a proper example without doxing myself …. Remember the Makenga/Bosco drama where Bosco ended up at the 
embassy? Now think of it… with Rwanda full of military and intelligence officials all over, how did he make it all the way? And why there… someone aided him. But also who was supporting Makenga? You can guess the first ( US doesn’t really care much about local dynamics unless it affects the bigger picture ) but on tje latter, Kagame is very ruthless . Hence why even here I’ve mentioned Kenyans should always keep an eye on him . I know his ways … he’s always stirring problems and reaping from it. I guess his philosophy is you catch more fish in muddy waters. He’ll fold if he thinks he will be struck, and recoil not too long after you lose focus
