Nimeona hii post pale Home Bootyful nikajipata nawaza.
This is a River Road lanye waiting to happen. 3 kids, no husband, 20k salary, in KAMUKUNJI!!
Hizi ndizo all the necessary ingredients and catalysts za umalaya Kanairo. Hiyo pesa haitoshi kulea watoto watatu and the work environment (Kamukunji) has prostitution opportunities.
Best case she will work the job and hoe during the peak days like Friday and Sato. Worst case she will decide to hoe full-time chuma iishie kwa kazi yake. If she is extremely lucky she will convince a rich fool to take care of her and her kids financially before becoming a hoe.
Its sad when you can literally foresee how someone’s life is likely to unfold based on probabilities, the environment, and their unfortunate circumstances at the time.
She will manage. I know of some being paid as a little as 10k per month and they manage to raise children upto high school.
She just needs to get a bed sitter somewhere near town where she will walk to work kama hapo shauri moyo, land mawe au anywhere along jogoo road… Take the children to public schools. She can easily be saving 5k monthly after expenses.
bedsitter au single room hapo kwa semi-shanty(inakuawanga inclusive water and electricity)-5k
Food shopping (unga, mchele, sukari, grains)-4k
Toiletries-1k
Daily mboga/maziwa-5k
savings-5k
In Nairobi, single, with three children?? Wacha uongo gathee. It’s not 1990.
Nobody in this city is raising three kids alone with 10k income without help from the streets. Either she is a hoe/sugar baby, or the kids fend for themselves in the streets.
Hakuna kushangaa gathee. NOBODY is raising 3 children in Nairobi on 10k per month salary. Kuna income mingi sana huwa hamuoni. That family in the slums has two earners whose combined income is not 10k but 30k minimum. The single mothers there all hook on the side. The ones who don’t hook on the side neglect their children and leave them in the streets/dumping sites etc wajitegemee.
Most of us here were brought up with less and even some of us like me tukaenda International schools - high school na unifaste but that requires alot of discipline, planning and saving
Whatever amount your parents raised you with is more than 10k today. I repeat, stop living in the 80s and 90s. Tuko 2022 and 10k is peanuts when you have 3 children in Nairobi.
Hata hiyo 20k is almost impossible in Nairobi with 3 children. That woman will see hoes minting cash huko Kamukunji and they are the people she will interact with. From that post, her kids are young so she is probably also young. There is a very high likelihood that she will start hooking like the thousands of women who have found themselves in that precarious position before and after her.
If that job only guarantees 20k bila marupurupu, I’d say her odds of joining the streets are above 50%.
20k is peanuts in Nairobi. I am single and I can tell you 20k is peanuts. Now imagine someone who has 3 kids and also has bills to pay?
Ni bedsitter gani iyo iko karibu na Nai utapata na 5k? Hiyo ni bei ya bedsitter huko Kamulu ama Joska far away places from town unless unaongelea some shanty in majengo.
But 20k is enough for them to get by. You don’t realise that the average jua kali worker makes about 15k a month yet they still manage to raise children and have spouses. Some of them are even drunkards.
You forget that Jua Kali guys don’t declare their income so you don’t know the actual figure they earn. You forget that their wives also work as mama fuas, hoes, mama sokos, hawkers, etc. The household income is 25k at the bare minimum, not 15k. Also, their children are raised by the streets.
Its surprising how out of touch with reality you people are. Her best option is to leave those three children huko ocha and send a minimum of 10k monthly to her mother awachunge. 10k goes a longer way back in the village. Huku yeye abaki na 10k akisurvive.
I’m not going to argue with you because in my time in kijiji you have shown that you always believe you are right no matter what. Plus aren’t you the same idiot who said that if you don’t make $1m before 35 you are a failure yet Kenya is a third world country?
