traintickets.co.ke might be a scam

The purported online booking for the Madaraka Express → traintickets.co.ke has been disowned by Kenya Railways.

Also the new trains that were starting service tomorrow won’t be there.

KenyaRailways with an underscore at the end? Scam much? just asking coz i’m not on “this the twitter.”

Oh well… All new systems have their own challenges.

Vile @1776 amesema

handle ya KR on twirra ni?

Run, run

Intercounty trains postponed http://mobile.nation.co.ke/news/Madaraka-Express-inter-county-train-launch-postponed/1950946-3994696-9im9jpz/index.html

Actually it seems you are right. Bad news just before I sleep.

so is the story on postponement true as well?

Yes that’s true until Monday. The CRBC staff due to supervise the handover of the county stations had a plane delay and wouldn’t make it on time for tomorrow service.

maybe KR are testing their own system internally.

Its another blunder. No excuses. I’m wondering if it was contractual dispute.

How long&hard is it to build an intergrated ticketing system? Anyway these are teething problems we hope they’ll overcome soon.
2. CCCC/CRBC or whatever other four-letter-acronym Chinese company operates the railway while K.R just tweets alot of hot air, shoddy info, fake news and the lot of it(with multiple twitter accounts). There should be realtime coordination between these two.

I came to learn of traintickets.co.ke thru’ a social media(Facebook) post Robert Alai shared…I’m not sure if his sharing that info constitutes endorsement of the `phony´ platform or otherwise.

Are you implying traintickets.co.ke was the real thing floated to the public by Kenya Railways?

Very poor organization.
