What usually cause snarl up in our major towns, nowadays you get stuck in traffic in far flung places like Meru. Bringing me to my 3 questions.
1.Is traffic caused by many Kenyans owning cars.
2.Or is it caused by poor planning of our roads network.
Or is the cause of accident sheer indisplined of Kenyans drivers and pedestrians…
Nowadays even the four lanes Thika Superhigway suffer a massive Traffic snarl up, especially from Nairobi all the way to Ryosambu- then there is a flee flow all the way.
Hapo Roysambu kuna chida mbiri:
Jamaa mats wa hapo, zimma, githurai 44 na west hawana adabu. Hata private drivers hawana vichwa. They stop anywhere they want.
Hakuna bus stop or a wide enough lanes to deposit passangers wa hapo. When a mat/bus stops, traffic has to stop all the way to the highway.
Narrow road huko na zina bumps mrefu…
Some Nugu like me or you. We avoid repairs on the road during peak time.
Your nos 2 and 3 make more sense. However, that is not the only problem and no single solution can solve the problem. The solutions are as many as the problems. A multi-pronged and localized approach might be better depending on each case.
