Traditional Kenyan History

I got some really great knowledge a year ago , about how the kikuyu tried to come together & established an empire in the 17th century lakini ikashindikana …I would like this thread to be a discussion full of tribal knowledge for people to know their history , all knowledge is treasured …

I’ll start

Did you know that the kambas filed their tooth (…as an intimidation tool i think)… These guys were long distance traders and just like the kamba today , they will place all their trust on foreigners than fellow africans . They traded ivory & even slaves … meffi sana hawa

Kambas…intimidating?. Is it politically correct to laugh at this juncture ?

Isn’t that picture disturbing to you… just imagine you are in the 16th century walking around naked , you turn a corner and bump into a group of men with arrows & spears and it’s jungle around you ? Alafu they smile to expose their filed teeth ? si unaeza jikunia ukitoroka mbio , simulteniously !

Nikijua ni wakamba though…

usisahu life 500 years ago was filled with fear and uncertainty… Every community spoke of ogers and devils , so ukiona mtu ako na meno za mnyama , the shock was tripple… nguvu ingeisha kwa magoti ata kama ni wakamba banae !

Where are the old knowledgable villagers when u need them ? …ama we just post lanyes everyday !
