Very good on fuel economy. Consumes about 12km/l on average
Is that what you call good fuel economy? What if I told you Toyota Aqua does 24KM per litre .
For this kind of consumption you do not need a hybrid vehicle. Most japanese non hybrid will give you this or better figures

Toyota Prius should easily reach 30km/l. Much higher if you don’t drive with a lead foot.

How about maintenance costs…
I’d imagine if you buy a clean imported 5-7 year old unit, it should serve you for a minimum of another 5-7 years without problem. It’s a Toyota after all.
If you buy a lemon, kuna shida kubwa. I’d imagine maintaining a problematic hybrid vehicle in Kenya must be a costly nightmare, whichever the brand.
Hybrid should be near to the 20km/l mark or over below that just take an ICE na utulie

Demio diesel 17km/l
Hapo kwa hiyo Prius labda ikupe hiyo mileage ikiwa kwa fuel mode sio hybrid.

12km/l isnt a very good fuel economy. Even guzzlera can do 12km/l.
My guzzler sometimes does 11.5km/l
So how is that a good economy?
Honda insight ni very reliable. Ngata ya 1k nimeenda Naivasha na kurudi twice bila refil! Kurudi ndio mlima kuna some consumption. Kuenda ni mteremko. Im now considering an outlander to be doing Eldoret.
I have a 50l fuel tank doing 800km and 2.5l engine
This is not for a prius in good form…1800cc one should be doing 20km/l or better
