**I meant new shape in the title.

Looking mainly at fuel economy and reliability. What would you choose and why. Both are 1.5L

Verisa it is

  • Fuel economy is almost same on both but it depends with your foot.
  • ZY-VE engine is trouble free , service parts are readily available - e.g Bosch air filter at Ksh 800 and Bosch oil filter / Genuine Mazda oil filter at Ksh 900
  • Better interior
  • Spacious back seat
  • headlights are very good for night driving
  • Automatic gearbox compared to CVT on IST

How is its ground clearance compared to ist?

I don’t have the figures but Verisa is lower .
FYI you can survive with Verisa with stock suspension on our roads .

Verisa is the better buy ,for a " small farmer".You get japanese simplicity ,ease of parts and avoid alina njoro stealing your car for parts.
