During the launching of Jubilee party, the President of the republic highlighted how the party will change the national political landscape. Currently, national politics are based on ethnic numbers, the president noted this and insisted on how the new party will unite all kenyans and garner support based on policies.
The deputy president echoed these sentiments at a Nakuru rally over the weekend.
it will be an interesting future for Kenya if we attain this vision
How can they unite Kenyans when they are the biggest beneficiaries of tribalism and negative ethnicity? If Kenyans voted on issues and not tribes, we would probably not know of a raila or uhuru or both.
Someone has to staart from somewhere, a journey of 1000 miles start with a single step. Instead of lamenting support people who have good vision on ending tribalism, doesnt matter whether its Raila or Uhuru. Your mind seems to be brainwashed in your own cocoons.
I don’t understand why when Uhuru joins with Ruto it is praised as unifying Kenya but when Raila was with Ruto it was seen as a fight against the Kikuyus.
I support people of goodwill regardless of political affiliations. If someone has constructed a toilet for you its much worth than the multi million house that you have been promised for 20+ years in Karen only to get your vote. Actions speak louder than words
Initially the model looked good on paper but has been abused, it all started by creating 47 counties…47!!! Economies like Kenya cannot support 47 counties let alone being divided on ethnic boundaries. I think 10-12 wound have worked perfectly
United Kenya my behind. Appointments mingi ziko tilted to favor a few tribes… In fact, only one, hata Kaleos have the shorter end of the stick. Upuss.
Honestly if these two leaders wanted to unite Kenyans they would have started doing it in 2013 when they first gained power. The fact that several years later when we are close to an elections is when they are telling us their ambitions are to unite us is highly suspicious. Just like CORD, Jubilee is also engaged in tribal coalitions. Tribal politics is the only form of politics Kenyan leaders know.
