You dont go to God so that you can use Him to advance your own, miserable earthly ambitions. You go to Him so that He can use you to advance His spiritual agenda.

In fact, a true Christian will become poorer materially because he will be using his wealth(after renouncing worldly vanities) to at least reduce human misery wherever he sees one.
