We know what happened. It’s not a mystery. A lot of people panicked – and some got greedy – snatching up all the TP and Purell they could find.
Some didn’t just overstock, though.
Newsweek reports one guy in Australia bought $10,000 dollars’ worth. That’s 150 32-packs of toilet paper and 150 32oz bottles of hand sanitizer. Now, he wants to return it.
But, Drake’s Supermarket told ABC’s Radio Adelaide the store refuses to give him a refund.
“The rest of my team [is] over this sort of behavior and having to police people taking more than they need — that’s a tough thing to deal with,” Director John-Paul Drake said.
According to Drake, the man had already tried to re-sell his stash online.

Kenya actually managed to get the supply of sanitizer and facemasks quick under control, prices coming down fast. whats up with this first world countries struggling to do the same? The out sourced all basic industries to china?

:DUmenikumbusha a day I went round all my local supermarkets looking for TP and it was all sold out. Even the baby wipes. I ended up at a small mhindi corner shop and stocked up on kitchen rolls. Lakini the stock is back on now but wah I was left rather confused by how people rushed to buy TP and not food.
