TILL NUMBERS

Dear listers, my 6 till number phones were stolen n by the time i reported, 3 had been Kamuliwad DRY. my question is hw is it possible considering am the only one with the pin number…Is it a scam involving safcon ama ni uchawi gani…

Someone told me its possible to do a transfer from one till number to another n apparently, this procedure doesnt ask for any pin. Hw true is this?

TIA

I’m not supporting safcom (same applies to Orange/Airtel) but no one stores (Transaction/Mpesa Pin NOT Sim Pin) in the system to be viewed by staff or any other person. All Transaction PIN/Mpesa is set by the holder by prompt during the first time you activate the service. The system is set that it can only verify the user has put the right pin without showing the digits. So hiyo wizi ilifanywa na mtu alijua PIN yako and you need to find out how did that happen. Then most case of theft is usually by those close to you, who know your movement, habits and operations. That said report to police and safaricom and get a statement of where the funds where transferred to and follow up with fraud department.
