Ni God maze.
He/ she MUST have been an anti contamination crusader to evade GODS wrath. It happened thousands of years ago and still happens if you read the Holy Bible.

The Catholic Church also survived unscathed.

How did the fire jump those several metres of water to burn the houses in the ocean?

When you have have strong winds and fires, there are what are called “embers” which are flaming debris carried by the wind and can be carried for long distances to land and start fires elsewhere, even across a water channel, across roads etc. If they land on a car, roof, wooden house, flower bed with dry material etc they start a fire in a new area even though the main fire front may be hundreds of metres away. A burning roof could also detach due to the strong winds and land elsewhere on another property starting a fire. That is is why the fires are difficult to control.

Very simple. If you sprinkle your house with water it may prevent it from catching fire. It seems you have a single digit IQ

So you think your maji will stop such a fire wall/fire storm from consuming your house?

Most likely the church and that house are made of brick and stone and metallic roofs unlike majority of the other houses made of timber and wood shingles kama tu keja most mainland yues. Nyumba ya mawe haitachomeka as easily kama ya mbao, sio miracles.

So sad that they refused to turn on the emergency alarms to warn people. Resignations za officials zikam Kisha prosecutions. Many lives could have been saved at the very least.
