Hedge Funds and prop desks don’t care about your cute little trades. They manage risk professionally by hedging. Any decent portfolio manager at a hedge fund who was short AMC obviously wasn’t shorting naked. He also obviously had a long position in another counter to hedge that risk.
Hedge funds lost money (because retail only trades longs)…but they only lost money that they could afford to lose. Meanwhile, bonobos think that they are bankrupting hedge funds
