This is how they came...

Wah, we need professional plane spotters. Ubaya ni GSU/AP/Defence Constabulary wakushike karibu na fence ya airport

In my usual round nikichakura crevice za shallow web on information regarding KDF, I came across some interesting Kenyans who are much more informed and with them this website in Serbian. Uncle Google akaja to the rescue…

For those not in the know, the Ruslan is the largest military transport aircraft that can carry several tanks at once (Mriya na A380 ni larger lakini they’re considered civillian ni few sana).

Question: What type of weapons are these that require such an aircraft?

Then it hit me. The Nora b52 self propelled artillery is from there plus another one the BOV M11 armoured fighting vehicle are from there. Mbisha hizi hapa. The BOV haijapatikana msuri…

Nimerudi huko nijifunze mengi zaidi

That thing is conspicuous as fuck in that shade of green

Camouflage actually works. You should see how navies in world war two messed with guys aiming at them from a distance

cool!

but that was some stripes and stuff in weird non-linear angles…i would hardly call this camouflage. not unless you are in a bright green jungle…

I’m willing to bet that you don’t have any active interest in military camo, and are just arguing for argument’s sake.

They might as well paint it silver colour given the advancement in radar and GPS weaponry.

That thing has a big gun/ cannon that looks like it makes a lot of noise when it fires. And what modern army worth its salt would allow such a monstrosity to “stealthy” sneak into its defence lines.

kuna flani ya statoe niliona that blew me away…aargh, can’t recall its name but saying its huge is an understatement.inabeba T72 kadhaa na Apache pia.noma

The thing with artillery is indirect fire support. The projectile travels in arcs therefore these guys can hide behind a hill and fire at a target with a radial accuracy 5 metres.

Most radar frequencies cannot penetrate object and instead rely on reflection of the signal. That’s a major reason why stealth planes have weird angles and radar absorbing materials. Hide behind trees or a hill, you’re home and dry.

Of course theirs counter battery radar which calculates arc to give possible firing position. That’s why the gun is on wheels. Shoot and scoot

The projectile fired can reach ranges of 40+ kilometers and if rocket assisted, 65+ kms. The racket made can’t be heard that far.

For an army, it makes perfect sense. It can fire anti material shells, high explosive shells with sustained fire of 5 per minute. Multiply by 5 trucks and you can support a whole battalion in the field. Plus it’s a cheaper form of close quarters support.

The essence of self proppeled artillery is to support troops in the frontline while being far from the frontline, move to support several formations at once, keep up with motorised/mechanised formations. Makes perfect sense.

Compared na hii ruslan C-5 ni ndogo in terms of physical size na cargo capacity. Range na fuel capacity ndio iko better. Wengine huargue juu fuel capacity yake ni better ndio inaipa betfer range

Yes its the C-5 just remembered.defense system yake pia ni top notch.seen a clip of it landing in one airport and it blew the windows off.
Does the US of A still use it?

Yap. Still in use and no plans to retire them though some few years back walikuwa wakipressure Airbus wawauzie Beluga

Hiyo sjaiskia.i’ll look it up kesho.na i’ll not be suprised if in the next few years,Kdf will also own one plus maybe afew other new “toys”

Hakuna hata boat ya navy kaka?
