This is Guka - Shiet! Kumbe Lake Victoria Tragedy Wiped Out Scores of Ugandan Celebrities (PICTURES!)

Inaitwa Final destination

Mombasa, Ukunda, Malindi, Lamu is the reason why.

it’s a tragedy. unexpected. fortunately for them it’s over. no more pain. may their families find energy to bear the heavy loss

You guys are missing @mikel 's issue by a 1,000 miles…

We are not. The lake in Uganda is close to the most productive region i.e Kampala, Entebbe and other parts of Central Uganda, where people have higher disposable incomes. So, it makes sense how they utilize it more than on the Kenyan side where disposable incomes are not that high.

Umesema ukweli…Hii Lamu sijawai enda

Anyway Landlocked countries are making great use of their lakes and rivers…Malawi, Zimbabwe, Zambia are having all sorts of recreational activities and attracting very many tourists to their lakes and rivers.
Wacha siku moja nipate kandarasi pale Lake Basin Development Authority utaona ideas nitaleta

Wacha kutusi watu ya kisumu…wako na pesa:D:D

[.

I agree with you KSM has a lot of potential lakini politicians from Luo Nyanza have in a way failed their region, hata wengine wa Western pia ni meffi.

Hata huyu ametuwacha

Asante kwa kutuosha macho may she RIP.Also RIP to the other fatalities

Such busineses can make good money but I suspect they are capital intensive. I think most beach front property in Kisumu belongs to government and indians. Some of the properties appear to be shanties probably put up by squatters. For instance those vibandas at lwagni. I think that land belongs to either KRA, Kenya ports Authority or Kenya Railways. Across lwagni there are a cemetries/crematoriums a, golf course, NEMA, Kenya Pipline and other govt parastatals/departments. After railways kuna impala park, yatch club. I do not know who owns hippo point but it seems private property inaanzia hapo all the way to dunga.

Yeah we gave greatly under-utilised our side of the lake potential. Huko from fishing to recreational activities kama water sports. The place has great potential. If we can put inplace proper policies to govern movement of people and fishing activities lake victoria can be like michigan ya USA… I mean am sure the lake has more or comparable coastline to the kenyan indian ocean coastline…

Waaaah! What has annoyed me most is that guy shouting ‘yesu, yesu’. An imaginary white fairy has nothing to do with anything…

Haya tumezaliwa nayo na tukalelewa.
