So today the United Nations General Assembly held a vote on whether Britain should hand over the Chagos Islands back to Mauritius or not.
Wuehhhhhhhhhhh!
The vote was 116 for the handing over against just 6 for the status quo. The six were UK, the US, Hungary, Israel, Australia and The Maldives (may these ones sink into the ocean!) I don’t know whether spineless Kenya is among the nations that abstained (I think it is, sadly) but I can bet Museveni and Kagame were among those who voted for our fellow African country.
This is how The Guardian reported it:
The 116-6 vote left the UK diplomatically isolated and was also a measure of severely diminished US clout on the world stage. Washington had campaigned vigorously at the UN and directly in talks with national capitals around the world in defence of the UK’s continued control of the archipelago, where there is a US military base at Diego Garcia.
I am having ejaculation after ejaculation right now! I can’t wait for the end of Western Imperialism…
The future superpowers will not be countries but corporations. Corporations will have armies, infrastructure, employees a.k.a citizens etc. That is the natural evolution of capitalism for the future.
It’s a major moral and political victory by the General Assembly on behalf of Mauritius.
…major powers have shaky control over the assembly…but we all know that UNGA resolutions like this one are non binding…unlike security council ones…US and Britain could easily choose to ignore it and still not face any form of punishment…after all they ignored the first advisory by ICJ.
“SHE has fallen! Babylon the Great has fallen, she who made all the nations drink of the wine of the anger of her fornication!” “Babylon the Great has fallen, and she has become a dwelling place of demons and a lurking place of every unclean exhalation and a lurking place of every unclean and hated bird!”—Revelation 14:8; 18:2.
