This dumb South African girl.

Yeah. 16,000 km. I didn’t know about that one. Thanks for sharing. We should start threads about things we didn’t know about Africa.

I like her enthusiasm.

Will gladly contribute including some in Kenya.

I agree but being a man I tried to imagine having such a woman for a wife? Can you put up with maybe the rate at which insults could be precipitating from that dental opening? But her points are valid though

Actually science has always had cultural and geographic influences, remember when the world “was flat and the sun and moon revolved around the earth”?:rolleyes:That was a scientific fact then and suggesting otherwise was considered heresy.

You need to read history a bit deeper and with a more open mind then you will learn that African civilisations existed way before the advent of christianity and islam and that to destroy a civilization all you have to do is to destroy its knowledge base. The killing of scholars and destruction of libraries during an invasion sends a nation back to the stone age and that is what happened to Africa. :(:frowning:
When I have some time I will dig out books on ancient african history, meanwhile, thanks to @Doc Oga pointing out that we have the great wall of benin which I wasn’t aware of. I befriended gugu and voila!
Benin was a well planned city with street lighting and a drainage system . I will leave you to ruminate on this excerpt:
Story of cities #5: Benin City, the mighty medieval capital now lost without trace | Cities | The Guardian

African fractals
Benin City’s planning and design was done according to careful rules of symmetry, proportionality and repetition now known as fractal design. The mathematician Ron Eglash, author of African Fractals – which examines the patterns underpinning architecture, art and design in many parts of Africa – notes that the city and its surrounding villages were purposely laid out to form perfect fractals, with similar shapes repeated in the rooms of each house, and the house itself, and the clusters of houses in the village in mathematically predictable patterns.

As he puts it: “When Europeans first came to Africa, they considered the architecture very disorganised and thus primitive. It never occurred to them that the Africans might have been using a form of mathematics that they hadn’t even discovered yet.”

…" As he puts it: “When Europeans first came to Africa, they considered the architecture very disorganised and thus primitive. It never occurred to them that the Africans might have been using a form of mathematics that they hadn’t even discovered yet…"

Very interesting history.

Hio historia yako ulitoa wapi?
Ever heard of black civilizations?
Christopher Colombus found the Mende tribe in the American?
Great stone houses of Zimbabwe?
Gede ruins built during the middle ages?
Tafakari hayo kwanza.

Ancient africa was known for astronomy, architecture and mathematics

She’s not dumb by the way she’s raising a very valid point. Most of the Science we learn today is very Eurocentric. Think of these laws like Boyles Law, Newton’s 1st, 2nd & 3rd Laws of Motion, Gay Lussac’s Law, Moore’s Law and many other scientific laws that are over 500 in Total. They were named after Europeans who allegedly discovered them.
This argument assumes that civilizations prior to 1600’s never used these laws or had knowledge of them which is false. This is the fallacy of Eurocentric Science exposed. All those laws were basically rediscovered or stolen from the manuscripts of Timbuktu and the Libraries of Alexandria and then claimed by the Europeans as their own discoveries. I said here before how we needed to have embraced the brilliant African Researchers of the past 60 years who came out and exposed the lies and colonialism off Eurocentric Science. What most people don’t know is that Truth and Fact are two different things. Facts change, the Truth Never. Science is based on Fact but not necessarily truth.
Let me give you an example, it was considered a Fact that the Earth was Flat during the Medieval ages, it all changed when Galileo Galilei read stolen manuscripts from Timbuktu and the Library of Alexandria in the Vatican secret Archives. Wasn’t Galileo an Italian? isn’t the Vatican inside Italy? The Italian Rennaisance was basically a group of scholars rediscovering history from stolen books from the Library of Alexandria in Egypt. We were lied to that the Library of Alexandria burnt down, this is a lie. The Library of Alexandria with it’s vast knowledge was looted by the early Church especially the Vatican and the evidence erased through a fire. Afrika was robbed naked and left to start from scratch, the effects still sting over 1500 yrs later. They looted the billions of manuscripts collected over thousands of years by the Egyptians. These manuscripts still exist inside the Vatican secret archives that cover over 85 kilometres. Imagine 85 kilometres of Books. Enough to cover Nairobi to Nakuru man. This stolen knowledge accelerated the advancement of Early Europe and with their vanity considered themselves smart, No they weren’t. The original Africans that researched these Math, Chemistry and Physics are the ones who were. These were Scientific thieves.
So when I see Kenyans and Africans worship the White man as if they’re better than Africans. I just scoff whether in restaurants or in daily life I just scoff because they are only ahead because they stole our knowledge and there are great African thinkers who’ve come out to expose these but we Kenyans & Africans would rather drown in our cheap useless Politics, we would rather discuss two caucasians chasing the ball during the English Premier League. Just look at the Twitter timeline today and see how out of the Top ten trends, 70% is Foreign European Football. Our minds were taken over and colonised a long time ago and the sad thing is majority don’t even realise it. This Girl is raising a very valid point
Lastly remember when Eurocentric Science considered it a fact that we had 9 Planets. They changed it to 8 Planets about 10 years ago and there in goes the error or loopholes inherent in Eurocentric Science. Fact is not always constant, it changes hence it isn’t as reliable as Truth. Truth never changes no matter what but Facts do. We should aim for the Truth in our Scientific World. If we had our own African Science like this girl says, If we had Asian Science and South American Science, we would compare our notes between ourselves as an Earth species and test each point of view thoroughly before coming to a solid conclusion. Instead our institutions of Higher learning only follow one school of thought “The Eurocentric Model” and this is very dangerous because “When We all Think Alike no one’s really thinking at all”

evidence?

Evidence of what?

that galileo read stolen manuscripts…that the library didnt burn down…
links? references?

I’m not claiming Africans were not scientific. Hardly. Matter fact I’ll point you to another of African scientific past, check out Dogon astronomy.

Can you state as a fact Pythagoras alienda Timbuktu ? I’m not disputing there were great African civilizations but that does not mean we start mixing up dates, attributing discoveries of a later date to them just to feel proud. Pythagoras did not study in Timbuktu.

Google black civilizations… Go … lazy nigger

Pythagoras was taught in Khemet (Egypt ), using that knowledge in their own thinking. It is through this learnt knowledge, his likes took credit after destruction and pillage of Alexandria by the turks.

Google is a product of white man’s science. Do you have something more Afrikan ?

There is nothing new under the sun. All that technology you see has been there before and way better than the current one from architecture, astronomy ,nuclear energy, medicine, space travel, free energy etc but unfortunately wars, natural calamities have wiped off not only civilizations but also knowledge.

There were two major centres of learning then, Timbuktu and the second in Egypt both were destroyed and both preceded the greek civilisation if I get time I’ll dig up those books an put the excerpts here .
