This Burglary Is An Inside Jobo....

CCTV cameras captured two robbers as they broke into a house in Hunters Estate Kasarani, and made away with goods of unknown value.

In a post shared on social media platforms on Wednesday, April 7 the Twitter user, Jamlick, says that his friend, Karanja Ngendo, lost laptops, cameras and other accessories.
Ngend’o had traveled out of town for work when his house was broken into and his work equipment stolen.

CCTV footage shows one of the robbers try a couple of times to pick the lock before he succeeds.
After unlocking the lock, he gets inside and leaves a couple of minutes later without carrying anything.
He is seen making a call, presumably calling for backup. When his accomplice arrives outside the apartment, the two proceed to the house where they are seen carrying the equipment out of the house.

Following the incident, Kenyans on Twitter have called on the Directorate of Criminal Investigations (DCI) to act swiftly and arrest the suspects since their faces can be seen on the footage.
“How do the thieves know which house to steal from and what are the odds that they knew that the owner was not going to be around? It must be an insider job,” a social media user complained.
Other Kenyans have raised questions on the quality of padlocks sold in the Kenyan market since it did not take long for the robber to break into the house.
“Is that a master key of sorts? That padlock was broken very easily. Or the owner went to get a duplicate somewhere and the thugs made theirs too?” another user asked.
Ngend’o has reported the case at Kasarani Police Station (OB 71/05/04/2021). At the time of publication, the robbers were yet to be arrested.

Cases of houses being broken have been on the rise. In November 2020, thugs broke into 50 houses in Utawala and swept them clean.
“We woke up at around 5 a.m to find our houses broken into, but we suspect the robbers may have come to our block at 2.30 a.m. There are some of us who have been robbed of money. What scares us is that we had locked our doors from the inside but we found them wide

Vile hio padlock ilifunguliwa is what suprised me

They use a bump key. A key with uniform teeth. They bump the lock with the key and the locking pins jump wide apart to allow the plug to rotate to open the lock.
