Several years back in high school I was with my frens at night in those big mats, sasa the dere and the makanga both seem to be inebriated from the exchanges they were having and the way the mat was being driven though it was like 8pm, when we got to a certain place which was adjacent to a certain sprawling slum , a customer alighted when she alighted , the makanga then hit the window to signal dere aende, he hit it so hard that the window fell and broke, hapo ndio the driver lost it and said in Kiyuk, you monkey is that the window you’ve broken. Jamaa akachukua nyahunyo akashuka, the tout sprinted into the slum with the driver in hot pursuit na nyahunyo. Passengers were left there praying hakuna gang itatoka kwa hio slum ije kutuibia or worse. After what seemed like eternity dere akarudi akipant with no tout , so ilibidi wenye hawakua wampewa change wasahau change na watu wajishukishe in their respective stages. I dunno why but that memory reminds of Kenya ALOT.
