Dollar ndio ime changia umaskini in third world countries. In 1970 one pound was equivalent to twenty Kenyan shillings. After the USA ditched the gold standard. They started printing fiat currency. Hivyo ndivyo our shilling backed with Agricultural goods lost its value. Since it could not keep up with fed printing machine.
Farmers were demoralised they uprooted their coffee and tea. IMF Started to give the loans with conditions to make them poorer.
