A section of Thika residents have protested against the high cost of living, threatening to join opposition leader Raila Odinga in mass protests next week.
The angry residents led by Thika Small Traders Chair Peter Mbugua have lamented that, despite the current government campaigning on the bottom-up economic model platform, the people at the Bottom of the pyramid continue to languish in poverty and hunger as the prolonged drought and high cost cf living bites the hardest.
