Youth PS Lillian Omollo is reported to have fainted on Tuesday night and rushed to the Nairobi Hospital.
Omollo had been remanded at the Langata Women’s Prison which is where the women will spend their time as they wait for the court’s ruling on whether they will be released on bail or not on June 6.
This was the court’s ruling on Tuesday night for all the 33 suspects despite defense lawyers arguing that their clients did not pose any risk to witnesses in the ongoing NYS corruption case.
The male suspects who include National Youth Service (NYS) boss Richard Ndubai are cooling their heels at the Industrial Area Police Station.
Before they were moved to remand, the court session had lasted more than 12 hours as the lawyers presented their case.
The magistrate adjourned the hearing at 1am and that is when Omollo and other suspects were moved.
huyo mama hangetoboa jela kusema kweli. vile hio kichwa yake ilikuwa ina sway from side to side jana she was not all there. na tena ujue ni kasichana kameishi ng’ambo miaka kadhaa, soft life. We need minimum security prisons for these soft shelled folks.
Ni kama ile siku Kimani Ngunjiri walifungiwa na akina Muthama siku mbili mjamaa analetwa kortini, sijui amelala akijiharia usiku mzima. Sweating like a slave. Mara ashaanza kutolewa shati na Khalwale ati negro can’t breath. Niliskia tu kikisema, “this is too much… this is too much… this is just too much…”
Nikajua tu hiki kiumbwa kikirudishwa ndani itakuwa story ingine.
Enyewe huyu hawezi survive jela, if her lawyer is smart, he should make a deal with the OPP to plead guilty to the charges in addition to cooperate to give up the big fish, then apatiwe 3 yrs to be served at home as house arrest, with all the stolen assetts to be seized
