Very sad. Chinku introduced this beacon to beacon constructions in the former leafy suburbs. Then they go 20+ floors! They still advertise as being in the green leafy areas courtesy of the neighbours’ trees!
Where is the water? Where is sewerage? Where are the roads? Where is the playground? Even the parking is inadequate - visitors park on the road sides!
There is a lot of land in Kenya, we don’t need these high rise residences. We just need to service the lands further away from town.

If you your shaggz is at most 2 hours from Nairobi, there’s no reason to live in these high rises.
Even then, why not go buy 2 acres 20 minutes away from county cities like Kiambu, Nakuru, Nyeri, Eldoret, Nanyuki, Naivasha, Lodwar, Kisii, Malindi etc?
I’d prefer living 15 minutes from Nyeri town or Nakuru town in a 2 acre piece of land like a billionaire than smack in the middle of Nairobi in a matchbox that I can barely breathe.

As long as traffic and public transport is a nightmare, this will get worse and worse hadi the whole city and it’s surbubs becomes pipeline.
A good metro system to the other towns could fix this and move like half the residential population away from Nairobi, but we all know that’s not happening.
