The Tanzania National Parks Authority (TANAPA) Showcases Investment and Tourism Opportunities to SADC Member States

The Tanzania National Parks Authority (TANAPA) is actively promoting the country’s vast investment and tourism opportunities to Southern African Development Community (SADC) member states during the 27th SADC Ministerial Committee Meeting on Politics, Defence and Security, held at the Julius Nyerere International Convention Centre (JNICC) in Dar es Salaam, from July 21 to 25, 2025.

TANAPA’s participation in the regional forum aims to showcase Tanzania’s protected areas and conservation efforts, while inviting the 16 SADC countries to explore partnerships in eco-tourism, wildlife conservation, and infrastructure development within Tanzania’s world-renowned national parks.

During the summit, TANAPA has also been engaging delegates with educational content on the value of natural resource conservation and offering guided visits to several national parks throughout their stay in the country.

This initiative aligns with Tanzania’s broader strategy of enhancing tourism diplomacy and strengthening regional cooperation in conservation and sustainable tourism.
