Recently I decided to get into this rabbit hole going rounds on social media. That there’s a plan in motion for Ruto to rig 2027 elections, which is not a conspiracy theory itself. The fact is that elections were already rigged when the IEBC was reconstituted last week but that is another rabbit hole altogether. The grand conspiracy at hand is that there’s an ongoing mass ID registration exercise to foreigners. These will be the bots used as the coup de gracé in the 2027 evil plot should Aguambo decamp UDAku government.
ID conspiracy theories are not news. This one however blows your head in terms of the repercussions if it were true. Something conspiracy theorists seem not to grasp. Burundian, Somali, Ugandan, and Congolese nationals are being given free of charge Identity Cards with Okuyu names, so goes the rumour. Previously Somalian nationals paid top bucks north of $1,000 - $ 2000 for an ID. Sasa ni bure kama hewa not even the 1,000 for ordinary Kenyans .
It’s not hard finding some truth to it because majority of the foreign street traders have Okuyu names in their MPESA message. Almost all of the ones I have interacted with check out. But it could be they work for an Okuyu wholesaler and without MPESA, business would be difficult to conduct. This a line of questioning that needs to be followed anyway.
The UDAku government lacks any foreign policy and immigration doctrines. It all began with a free visa promise for any person that landed on the border without understanding why countries filter people getting in their borders in the first place. This enabled Sinaloa cartels to set up meth labs, women and child killers to sneak in to Eastleigh, and all manner of crooks are roaming the dimly lit Nairobi streets. This ensures there’s a constant immigration crisis that shouldn’t be there at all. Even without the conspiracies there’s an endemic problem at Nyayo House and the Interior Ministry.
Rigging elections is a matter of survival for the fledgling regime after the numerous failures. They have let down the citizens and their capitalist masters. Ruto knows that he can’t beat an alliance of the citizens and the owners of capital without some mega scheme. What this will be, is only time that will tell because the numbers are not in his favor.
With some facts laid down, how can these issues be addressed rationally without sensationalizing.

ID records audits. There will be certainly a spike in the new records since 2022.

Spike of new voters registered compared against government records, KCSE education data and birth certificates. Also a large spike of new IDs for middle aged people would be a red flag.

Census records. If you had 1 million 17-year olds last year, this year you expect a figure close to that(lower in fact) of 18-year olds. This can put to rest that matter.

MPESA being at the center of the rabbit hole can shed more light on the matter but hardly anything useful can come from them without mwananchi pressure

Economics. An influx of two million plus zombie voters would be visible as inflation and crime rates skyrocket. They too would have to scavenge like the rest of us poor Kenyans in a land of scarce resources.

The Voting Process. The zombies one way or the other have to visit the booth to avoid a wantam presidency. Since all politics is local, the citizens of every polling station can easily sniff out such a plot. Double voters could also be identified. With good grassroots campaign like UDAku’s in 2022, this will leave Kasongo to rig electronically.
Knowing Kasongo you should already have figured out that things are not what they seem. The Okuyu and Luhya vote was the deciding factor for Ruto in 2022. Maybe the whole thing is all about discrediting the Okuyu vote in 2027. Kasongo will use it as an excuse to grab power as nobody will know the real votes from the fake in Mt Kenya.
