The Shack (2017)

If you’re looking for a faith-based movie, this one is worth watching.
It covers issues like

  1. Why God “does nothing” about the evil in the world.
  2. Why God seems to leave us when we need him the most.
  3. Why we must forgive others even when we don’t feel like it —> Everyone is a child of God worthy of redemption.

When we judge others as good/bad, worthy/unworthy, etc., we take God’s place on throne of judgement.

It also explains that the evil people do dates further back in their generational tree, even to the Adamic sin.

I haven’t seen a movie where God is asked really tough questions about himself, like why he left Jesus on the cross, why he lets innocent kids suffer, why he will throw people in hell ! I almost stopped watching because I assumed God had no answers and I wanted to spare him from disappointing me

When asked about His wrath, God said sin is its own punishment , and sins do have consequences. BUT God is good and can work unspeakable wonders from the most devastating circumstances, if we let him by TRUST ing him.

Bottom line: God is good.

So inasema Jehovah Jireh ame-abandon watoto WaTurkana kwa nini?

Isn’t it blasphemy for a mere mortal to presume to know the motivations of the Almighty and depict them in a film? I mean its pretty arrogant to think you can understand why God did what He did.

so mshai meet na uyo ama?
