Today, mollis is broke; actually i have being really broke for about a week now, “peasant broke” just to be precise. I am not announcing this to seek any sort of sympathy but to act as a case study. Majority of us,modern men, have become whiners instead of people who take action. If your wife is cheating on you and shows no remorse, do you need Kitoto to tell you the obvious thing to do! Only a woman is allowed to whine, a man should shape up or ship out.

Modern men are tougher than the older generation. Medical advancements have ensured that Njuguna and Bakari who would have died in their childhood from measles and whooping cough are getting to maturity. On top of that women have been empowered and are now in the race for resources too. So that means men today has to hustle harder just to feed himself.

A man who lives to 67 despite having to go to war and meet the enemy face-to-face without any real amour (probably just a sword and if lucky, a horse and some thin metal plates) is way tougher than a guy who manages to live past his toddler years because of some vaccinations, only to die at 32 inside his airconditioned office 'cause of alcohol poisoning.
I agree that the life expectancy is much higher now, but I also feel that you had to be really tough to live past your 16th birthday back when you couldn’t take a pill whenever you felt a bit of nausea coming on.
The word “tough” has had to be softened to fit today’s description of tough.
The reason why I asked you to place it in this context is because I knew that interpretation would apply. Men today do not go to war in Assegais and shields made of wood or hide, and evolution or adaptation mainly favours those characteristics that are essential for survival in a given environment. So we do not need to be tall and muscle bound anymore. We have become increasingly sedentary and as such the parameters which define toughness have changed with the environment. Competition today is geared more towards mental acuity than sheer brawn. I know we developed higher intelligence for the same reason (tool and such), but today’s survival is more reliant on it than ever before. We live in a age of information.
Therefore, when I talk about toughness I talk about the ability to survive these socio-economic hardships. It is much more difficult to do that with increased population and radical changes in social dynamics such as the empowerment of women.
If this man who died at 32 years was able to contribute to the well being humanity then that is what count more so if he was able to reproduce. And it’s not as if men were not killing themselves with over indulgence in the past.
Today’s man has to be tough as hell. Resources are scarce. Its not like long ago where you let your five or six women do everything while you go sip beer and then come home in the evening and beat them because the six day old calf is wandering everywhere. Most men today cant keep a decent roof over their head without having to sleep for only 5 hours a day. or you think your grandmother is crazy to be sleeping 6 to 6?
There is no that communal thing to build houses in two days. I mean you would build a house, but at the same time you would be partying…mostly partying. For Americans and Scandinavians who are here, let me give you a good piece of information about yourself. Most people here, including me, were born at a time when people would gather to solve every problem. And there were those village wide parties for most communities. The “modern” society has broken down people into individuals. Its has isolated them. Your business is your business alone. It is a symptom of a collectivism, where everybody lives for the sole purpose of serving the machinery of the nobility. You have to break down the family structure in order to enslave men and women. There is no other way of doing it. Other methods failed.
To do this you have to strip the parent the right to raise children and make the state(which you as the slave master controls) the parent. You also have to make a simplistic world view where all people live on a philosophy based on one sentence. Some vague idea such as patriotism, one take it or leave it god, single gigantic parties or ideologies such as CCM TNA, CORD, KANU, Republican, Democrats, Communism, Capitalism etc or the idea that the most important thing is big booty or having sex.
