Who has watched this very Amazing Tv Series? Of when The Third Reich and The Japanese Empire defeat the allies and won world war two. It sorta reminds me of an episode of The Star Trek Enterprise when they got sent to an alternative universe when The Third Reich controlled the world.
I gotta say the Nazi military order and perfect uniforms I can understand why zem germans went crazy for Hitler…
Arguably one of the best shows especially for history buffs. Can’t wait for season 3
Let me watch it today. Having read the nazi history, the one thing that amazes me was that its top leadership including hitler were had poor leadership skills and made wrong decisions all the time. However its strength was its people work ethic, they were perfectionist and hard workers. They got impossible or hard demands from above but the middle level people to workers made it possible.
I wouldn’t say he had poor leadership skills. The guy was crafty even forced the end of the Weimar Republic which allowed him to take control. If the Germans didn’t fight against Russia and focused on Britain they would have conquered Europe then Russia and then easily invade the US/Canada through Alaska.
It’s a book not a documentary.
The 3rd season is fresh
Remember his first attempt at taking power ended in disaster and him in prison. The lose of the war in the east was solely on him. His generals begged him not to invade Russia until the war effort in the west was over. They knew they couldn’t sustain the war effort on both fronts. Even as the war came to a winter stand still they could have withdrawn to fight another day. He insisted on them staying and fight to the end rather than retreat cowardly. The Brits also had a suicide plan to assassinate him but they had broken the german enigma machine that was the platform of all nazi command communication from top to bottom. They quickly realized how hitler was overruling his generals and ordering many tactical mistakes. They took the decision that removing him will led to a better leader. They rather he stayed and continue with the mistakes.

Its both a book and a tv show … the tv show is inspired by the book … I had high hopes but the slow storylines and 50min episodes I eventually stopped watching
