The loud silence from activists as outspoken Kisumu West MCA Paul Paul Odhiambo Okiri goes missing

Outspoken Kisumu West MCA Paul Odhiambo Okiri alias Minega has gone missing and his disappearance is suspected to be a kidnapping. He has been in the forefront of speaking against corruption at Kisumu county. As of now the very active activist are very silent on all platforms in complete contrast to the missing lawyer and when any government critic is barely touched. Its true corruption only matters if its Jubilee, if its opposition, its our time to eat. Thats why in opposition nobody mentions or questions the irony that babuon and his billions of wealth that he has been accumulated since only 2000 when he joined Kanu in cooperation. His close friends the drug lords, the sugar smugglers and conmen have funded him upto now yet is the anti-corruption crusader.

Awaiting babuon minions rebuttal. At least the people there have shown their disgust of the news.

An outspoken member of the Kisumu County Assembly has gone missing. Neighbours of Kisumu West Ward Representative Paul Odhiambo Okiri in Kapuonja woke up Friday morning to find his car abandoned, with all doors wide open in what the family suspected to be a kidnapping. Mr Okiri, popularly known as “Manager”, has been at the forefront calling for accountability for the missing Sh105 million ward development fund. The assembly had on Wednesday asked fund administrator and Chief Officer George Akong’o Anyonga to step aside from his position to pave the way for investigations into the alleged misuse of funds. The money was intended for development in the 35 wards of Kisumu County, and the matter that generated a lot of heat in the assembly, leading to bitter exchanges among members. Already, Kisumu West residents have held demonstrations in the area, fearing that Mr Okiri might have been killed and his body dumped elsewhere. Protesters blocked the Kisumu-Maseno road urging the police to expedite investigations into the alleged abduction. Kisumu County Commissioner Maalim Mohammed said the matter had been reported to the Maseno Police Station.

“His car and his phone were found intact near his neighbour’s garden,” said Mr Mohammed.

He added that police were already investigating the matter.

The country is currently in a very deep corruption mess. Public funds are used to fund babuon’s endless campaigns yet many are fooled to think he’s fighting for them when he calls for more money to the counties.

You got that right. The tired ‘mythical brown envelope’ and ‘JP mole’ theory they use to shut down anything deemed against them.

Today I was expecting the hashtag procure for hire squad to at least support this and use all their proxy accounts to let it trend in twitter. Wapi they suddenly went silent. If somehow DP Ruto would be mentioned a mile away it would definitely excite them. Babuon minion here will bury their heads in the sand. That’s is why I never believe in this all pretend that they care about corruption while their leaders are Lords of poverty and wakati yetu ya kukula.

Kisumu West MCA Paul Odhiambo Okwiri who went missing on Thursday evening was found wandering in Rongo town barefoot on Friday night.

Odhiambo, 43, was picked by a boda boda rider at around 8pm allegedly in a confused state, and and begged to be taken to the nearest police station.

Area OCPD Jonathan Kisaka said the MCA claimed he was abducted at about 11pm at Sinyolo villae in Kabuonja North sub-location.

“He said when he took the last bend to his house, three people emerged from a nearby plantation and forced him to slow down,” Kisaka said.

The MCA told the police he was forced out of his vehicle and put in a nearby vehicle driven by a lady before he was blindfolded.

Kisaka said Odhiambo was driven throughout the night before being left at Nyarach area in Rongo.

The OCPD refused to divulge any more details saying they have already contacted police in Kisumu for further investigations.

“We can reveal more now and the MCA is in a stable condition,” Kisaka said.

The MCA’s wife Pamela Okwiri said she talked to her husband at about 8.30pm, when he said he was on his way home. The MCA’s vehicle was found near their home at around 5.30am on Friday.

Pamela said they found the door of the car open and the keys and the MCA’s mobile phone inside.

Following his disappearance, residents took to the streets over the matter, barricading the road at Daraja Mbili before setting ablaze a house belonging to a senior member of Kisumu County Government they accused of his disappearance.
