Yea…so FIDA spoke on sunday condemning the saturday incident where mbuvi told passaris that he isn’t her husband. And apparently this is a very aggressive form of gender based violence…and the mamas actually went ahead to call upon the DCI and IG to arrest the governor immediately.
So,ni sawa am not supporting governor mbuzi’s behavior… but…How is it that i only hear of FIDA when high profile women are affected,or maybe i dont follow their activities sana. But i know down there in slums there are women who are battered daily on daily basis…but when they go reporting they are advised to first seek solution within…
Pluda gets pointed by phillip and all over sudden the executive committee of FIDA is working overtime to get pluda a half a million monthly upkeep/maintenance plus other forms of child support from kijana ya former rais…Wanjiku gets hit by wafula to a point her nose is broken, her skin is burnt, arms broken, but the first advise she is given is that "ndoa huwa na kupanda na kushuka mami…jaribu muongee na baba watoto atachange tu…but akizidi ripoti police station tu.
A story is also told of a woman who took her well earning husband(with whom they were separated) to the federation…they pushed her case of “child support” and it was agreed that it will be 90k from the 50k the husband was giving.Six months down the line the woman is crying…out of the 90k,she has to chotea a series of people every month who are apparently facilitating the “maturity” and catalyse the releasing of the cheque…and the most she ends up with after putting all the work is around 30-35gees…naskia ilibidi aende aseme they are now in good terms kwa hivo child support case itolewe ata “wamerudiana”.
Anyway this just my observation and am really open to hear from other people who might prove otherwise
