Apparently, Michelangelo had an IQ score of 180, da Vinci 220 (one of the highest ever), John Stuart Mill 200, Bonaparte 140, Newton 190, Galileo 185, S Hawking 160, Einstein 160, Darwin 160, and Mohammed Ali 86.
Clinton B’s score is 137, Clinton H 140, Bush Jr 125, Madonna 140, Shakira 140, Gates 160, Schwarzenegger 135, Bush Snr 98, James Wood 180, Q Tarantino 160…
These test scores leave so many questions in mind…for instance, for those famous individuals that died long before the test was formulated, how did ‘they’ evaluate their scores (as to award some ‘top genius’ scores) when they did not sit for the test?
If one sat for the test at, say age 8, then the test is administered again when the individual is 30 years old, will the score be consistent?Do environmental factors such as level of one’s ‘exposure’ and their native language well taken care of in the test?
For those that have taken the test, did you feel that your input and the resulting score ‘fairly’ reflected your mental ability? May be you felt you could have done better in some other time or under different circumstances?
Wale mna IQ tusaidieni hapa. Wale hamna kama mimi not to worry, you are excused.
Inakuaga ushenzi tu . Do the test in Kiswahili and all those you’ve mentioned will fail and that’s enough proof that it depends highly on already constructed factors .
But not that they are entirely useless , locally we have our own form of ‘IQ tests’ in the form of KCPE / KCSE . If you meet someone who got a D in KCSE and one who got an A (Matiang’i grades only)… speaking and spending time with them will 80% of the time show you that the one who got an A has a slight edge in knowledge and out of the box thinking and analyzing information .
IQ tests count for something , but they are highly overrated when it comes to solving simple problems … show me 100 successful innovative people with high IQs and i can show you 100 successful and innovative people who could barely finish school .
Passing exams is not a reflection of one’s IQ.
Mean while, I wonder how Oprah Winfrey, Denziel Washington and Mike Tyson performed.
Serena Williams vs Beckham.
What are these tests based on? A guy born, raise and lived in Lamu all his life tested by a fellow Lamu inhabitant will get a decent score but if tested by a guy born and raised say in Meru, he will be embarrassed by his score.
