What’s so hard with kenya having such a project , cant some foolish gvt officials go benchmarking here in Colombia.All they needed was having a goodwill to have changes. No wonder you dont hear the columbians at border of USA.

That’s my thought exactly, but our politicians and the elite very greedy. You know how many people have been eyeing the slums and won’t let such ventures take off? Imagine kibra, mathare, kawangware and all opened up to productivity like this . It will change so many people’s lives and most definitely boost economy as investments come in.

I thought ile housing project ya Uhuru will get rid of the slums?

No way , it will only push out slum dwellers, there have been highrises that were built around some slums but that hasn’t shown any signs of a future.
I think this Columbian way is much better, the issue titles to people who been living there longest and give a guideline on structures that can be set up.

@Abba is a sponsor?

that part where they said ati "they dont feel ashamed to have come from shanties " really touched me . They feel they contribute to the economy as a whole no matter where they live. In kenya we are lucky hatuna drug cartels as Columbia did, but now we have to deal with corrupt cartels who don’t want empowerment of ordinary raia. If I’m Uhuru mcas will go benchmarking Colombia
