The First lady has been admitted in a public hospital

First Lady Janet Magufuli is unwell and has been admitted to the Muhimbili National Hospital. Yesterday, President John Magufuli visited her at Sewahaji Ward, where he also went around to wish other patients quick recovery.

It is good for the Republic of Tanzania.

One of our country’s undoing is that the elite, the wealthy and the middle-class, don’t give a damn about public facilities. The result is that public hospitals and schools have been left in a dilapidated state. They lack necessary equipment and critical infrastructure.

I believe when the elite get admitted to public facilities, at least they’ll ensure that the facilities are well-equipped and have good practitioners. Congrats to Magufuli.
